About

"Florem" is currently a string garden experiment launched in Arcadia. Using string, moss, grass and soil, plants are transformed into suspended living works of art that are a variation of the Japanese botanical style, "kokedama". My intention is for the plants to “find their balance” as they grow and become heavy. The name "string garden" was created by Fedor Van der Valk of the Netherlands, who took it one step higher and suspended the bound botanicals from pulleys.
